In Pakistan, the Ministry of Science and Technology, also known as MoST, is the federal government ministry in charge of overseeing all matters related to science and technology. The Ministry of Science and Technology Jobs (MoST) played a significant role during the first election of the country on July 25, 2001. MoST was responsible for managing the national ID database for the election. The first significant accomplishment of MoST was the development of Pakistan’s first national IT strategy and roadmap.
The Ministry of Science and Technology of Pakistan is an independent institution of national significance. Ministry of Science and Technology serves as the government’s focal point for science and technology policy issues and is responsible for formulating and implementing national science and technology policy. Additionally, the Ministry is responsible for formulating and implementing a sustainable strategic plan to promote science and technology.
